can the PT (GT) cruiser turbo pistons drop into my 4g64?

when i say drop into my 4g64, i mean, will they go in without me having to take my block to a machine shop and spend oodles of money. i've searched for a while and havn't found a satisfactory or definite answer. thanks

4g64 stroke/bore: 100mm/86.5mm
GT cruiser turbo stroke/bore: 101mm/87.5mm

I would say no, since the bore on the PT cruiser pistions are 1 mm bigger they will never fit. So i am going to say on this one. By the way why would you want to put 4G64 pistons in there in the first place?

I think you are better off buying aftermarket pistons. I would recommend JE's or possibly Ross. But you probably can use the 2.4 GT Turbo pistons if you have the block hones out .10 over. You will need to go that far anyways to get the block clear of any debris when you replace the pistons. Very rarely will you not need to have the block honed.
