Pt Cruiser Turbo manifold?

The 2.4 in the pt cruiser is the same exact motor as the neon srt4. Neon and pt cruiser is the same exact car, suspension, drivetrain. Only difference is the body, and couple other minor things, like the intake manifold. And no it is not a 420a motor. So most likely it will not fit.

No it won't fit. Now that you know that the engine's the same as an srt-4, you'll get a lot more results searching srt-4.The turbo and manifold on the srt-4 are made together. Kind of weird looking.

They call it a "turbofold" :) The manifold and turbine housing are cast as one piece.

It looks like it may bolt up, but the compressor may occupy the same space as the thermostat housing, and the compressor inlet would be facing the p/s pump (if equipped still) not allowing any room for an intake pipe or filter. See photos:

I had read, (when I was searching) that the PT Turbo motor is different from a SRT-4?
I suppose I was miss informed......

I work for a chrysler, jeep, dodge dealer..The engines on pt cruisers and srt4 neons are identical except for the intake manifold and intercooler piping.

the srt-4 engine (a855) is based on the 420a. check wiki.

the head is reversed. some parts should be interchangeble. you are better finding a turbo mani for the 420a.

i think there is more of an advantage in using 420a parts on the srt-4. more room in front of the motor. the turbo is pretty tight between the engine and the firewall on the srt-4. i don't know how much room the pt has.

it would be cool to have both engines side by side. who knows what kind of hybrids people can come up with. they still make new pt's, so parts are aplenty.
