Sylvan Lake,
I recently turboed my 4G64 spyder. I have 550cc injectors, 255lph fuel pump a Greddy e-manage, Injen cold air intake stock 1G turbo manifold and 14b with a 3" down pipe and stock cat/exhaust. I also have a Greddy FMIC and type S BOV. Running 8psi on a Mustang dyno I put down 202whp and 200ft/lbs of torque in second gear. The car runs awsome no major issues so far the car pulls like crazy when the boost hits.

Why would you do a pull in second gear? WTF

Thats sick man. I can't wait to see what I can do with my e-mange as well.
Oh and your car looks tight with that paint job. I'm guessing it only see's summer weather?

Heard you kept in the sohc head, Im looking to do the same. Give me details/part list

oh, don't get me wrong bro, I wasn't bashing in any way...I've just never heard off a dyno pull in second gear before, so you kinda caught me off guard with that one ROFL

I had never heard of second gear runs either but I wasnt expecting huge numbers with a stock exhaust from the DP back and on a Mustang dyno. So when my tuner insisted on second gear just too see what it would do I was fine with it. But now I am curious too see what it would do on a dyno jet in third or fourth gear when I get a new exhaust of course.

I appologize if I seemed snappy with my reply I did not mean too.

My tuner belives in tuning not in big dyno numbers.

If he was more into tuning, he would have pulled it in 3rd. The bigger dyno #'s will come in a 2ng gear pull with the lower gear ratio. 3rd gear is more sensitive to changes and will show on the dyno where 2nd wont. I know because I have dynoed my car in fwd mode with it in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. 2nd showed the highest #'s but didnt make much difference with changes. 4th showed the lowest #'s but also showed the the sensitivity of small changes to fuel, ignition timing, cam timing, and boost levels. And this was also on a mustang dyno.

I didnt say we didnt tune the car in all gears. The tuner felt it would be easier on the car in second gear he had more experience with dynos than I do so thats what we did. When tuning the car we went through all gears just not as hard as horse power dyno pulls you cant much tuning while flying through the RPMs.
