hey guys whats up i finally got my car yesterday to the dyno. my setup is a star stage2 turbo kit with ssq blowoff valve 450 injectors with greddy emanage for fuel and msd dis2 for spark ran 93 octane anyway i made 191hp 181torqu on dynojet at 12 pounds he set it up so it would be a safe 12 pounds since i drive the car everyday but my question is how much hp should i make that seems really low to me but i could be just expecting much more anyway it feels really good it pulls hard as #%^% anyway later :D

Yeah it does seem kind of low. Do u have a built motor at 12psi the compression ratio might not have been made up. 9:6:1 is stock, but it should have been made up.

How big is your exhaust? HIghflow cat?, Bigger Throttlebody?

Because I was pushing more than you at 7psi on the stock block. Same setup. but with 370cc injectors and SAFC2.

My next set up is going to be 550cc injectors, greddy emange and e01boost controller, and about 15-20psi. Whatever is safe daily.

Fill Out your whole mod list, with everything you had on it for the dyno.

what was your air fuel like
maybe it was running way rich and that killed your power
because those numbers are way low just from the experience of my own car
7 psi on a stage 2 and greddy evo exhaust and got 222whp

but my air fuel was 10:1 way rich

i got apexi n1 catback without cat dont have bigger throttlebody also dont know the air fuel ratio but told him to run it real safe since i use the car daily found out my buddy set the dis 2 to retard timing 10 deg at 7 pounds of boost because you only have 1 setting on it because i ran the dis2 off a pressure switch tapped into the manifold it will only pull timing at one preset being 0 up to 15 pounds whatever i set it at so if i set it to retard 10 deg. at 5 pounds of boost it will only pull 10 deg. even if i run 15 pounds it will only pull timing to that one preset i cant pull only 5 ten pull just 2 as boost rises i had to do this because the ignition harness for the e manage does not work on are cars so do you guys think im pulling to much timing it runs good i just did not want the timing to advance :thumb: :notgood:

oh yea the engine is rebuilt with weisco pistons 8:8:1 with forged h beam eagle rods clevite bearings high flow oil pump new waterpump and gaskets thats all really no head studs or port work yet

i dont boost past 10 but in my efforts to be able to go more i have done a lot of research on boost and timing retard.
from what i have read from this site and a few others there is no need to do anything to your timing until you start hitting 15psi and higher
in some cases the car didnt even need it then

maybe that is where your hp went
too much retard for that amount of boost

in the how to use a pocketlogger section tech article it says to shoot for the mid teens (dont know the exact # and i am too lazy to open another window and look it up)
my runs using a pocketlogger and totally stock ignition at 10 psi is reading 15 degrees of timing at wot

it may not be spot on but its close to what you need according to the how to article

i am by no means the expert but maybe its something to consider

thanx alot guys im new to this turbo thing but im going to try to bring timing back to stock and run it again at dyno also im probably loosing power thru the drivetrain i forgot to mention its automatic not stick so must be loosing more power there stock tranny just got a cooler on it later guys thanx again :D
