Awesome build! I'm also doing this on a 1992 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo. Who did you go with to zinc plate the hardware? Also, what did you find for a lubricant for the freshly plated hardware. Was that the CRC Marine Corrosion inhibitor?

BTW: I just purchased the brush to clean grounds. What a find!

I used a local place here in Denver to have the hardware zinc plated and it is really affordable too. A whole 5 gal bucket is like $120, but the hardware has to be blasted at a separate place since they only do plating. Worth it though as I ordered quite a bit of oem brand new hardware from Japan and it was insanely expensive and I will not be doing it again on the new A87 build. And as far as "lubricant" on new hardware I used permatex anti-seize on every single bolt that went into the body or shank that did. If there was a nut on the end I used a very small amount with a lock washer. For grounds I used the drill bit you found and then sprayed over that with the marine grade inhibitor, just so it was not exposed bare metal and has protection. and also would not be a poor ground.

That’s very reasonable for replating! Could I get to name of the business from you? I’m headed that way next month.

Well guys and girls, the A52 has officially found a new home!! It’s the end of a very long friendship with it and I admit I was pretty sad to see it go. BUT it’s going to a VERY deserving and good home!

Time to turn my focus on the A87 GSX and get it ready for shoutout!

P.S. Raf will also be taking over the build for the A52.

Long overdue post. @Dusty Landrum hope you like the evo. Can't wait to see that gsx done, so you can get your hands into the evo world! Plans for this gsx are to finish it up, freshen up the motor, get the exterior painted and get an alignment. (Dusty allready did a phenomenal job with this underbody). She got a little dirty in transport earlier in the year but tucked away all cleaned up in the back under a cover until I finish up the d50 ecu conversion.

Just stumbled across the thread tonight and read through the whole thing. Incredible. I can't believe all the work only to sell it in the end. If I did all that work, I have come pretty close, not quite to that level, but close I'd never be able to part with the car. I get to emotionally invested. I admire people that can let go and move on. Wish I could do that. Great build. Great job. Can't wait to see where it goes from here with the new owner.

It really was not that hard to let it go, especially since it went to Raf. I was wanting to move on to a different platform (Evo) and then I ended up finding another GSX the color I had always wanted so it really worked out for everyone. Doing the exact same thing to my current build too. Thanks again Raf for the T-70 Evo!

Finally got this thing under the knife. All the other projects have been completed so time to start working on this one a little bit... first step was to fix the burning oil issue.. this thing was like a Cho Cho train. Did a quick valve stem seal job with compressed air. Need to get a driver's motor mount since the one on the car was toast.
