true 3" downpipe

In order for that to be possible you'd need a 3" o2 housing as well- even the Evo III o2 housing couldn't support a 3" flange because there isn't 3" of space between the studs.

You sure about that? I have a 3" DP bolted up to my evoIII o2 housing. The DP started off as a apexi DP and was modified by AMS to correctly fit the angle of the o2 housing and they took the liberty of making it a true 3" while they were at it. Never pulled a tape across it to double check their work but being as I didn't even ask for it to be made 3" I don't see why they would lie.

That's what I was thinking- I've had difficulty fitting downpipes with 2.5" flanges on standard o2 housings so there's NO WAY you'd get a 3" flange to fit those....I knew the Evo III outlet flange was larger, but didn't figure it was by enough to make a drastic difference in fitment.

The evo3 o2 can in fact be ported to a true 3inches. The evo o2 housing studs are a good 1/2 - 5/8in wider apart than stock 2g. I had to cut the holes out of my downpipe making flange slots just to make it fit. There is much more material on the already much larger housing alowing a good amount of porting possible.

I made my own! :p :hellyeah:
