Ok so I have looked at vfaq and on postreetonline and have wired them up both ways and none of those ways work!!!! Currently I have it wired like on prostreetonline but I have a question. When it wants me to tap the brown cable with the red stripe (pinout 84) with the gray throttle cable from the safc I don't get what it is saying because pinout 84 on my harness is blue with a white stripe? The brown cable with the red stripe is pinout 90 for me and I use that in the next step for the pink and orange wires. What am I doing wrong with that? Also I was thinking, if I have my red power wire connected and my ground wires should my safc turn on atleast cause it's not. The only thing that happens when I turn on my car is it has a rough idle.....

DO NOT START YOUR CAR until u have the settings on your safc set to your injectors and u have made sure its wired properly together, you wouldn't want to blow your motor over something so stupid :nono:

^^ how do I do that? I read other troubleshooting threads that asked that karman thing but I'm not sure what it is.....

Basically I followed the instructions on this website step by step until I got confused about that wire listed above. Here is the link to the website.... I did nothing more or nothing less than it told me to on the website so I didn't mess with the kaman stuff or anything....

Wait my safc doesn't even power up for some reason. How did you wire yours? Like what website did you use for instructions?

Oh well I have the manual but it looked like a pain in the ass to look through it so I went online to find the easier way and it just f'ed me over. Now I have all these stripped wires LOL. Well I guess I know for next time but what do you have to do to wire the knock sensor? I know it was saying that I have to run the purple wire to the ecu but for some reason it doesn't sound that easy....

if you want to monitor knock get ECMLink or evoscan ...

knock feature doesn't work ... at least in our cars...

Hold on I have a dumb question but I gotta be sure Im right. When I look at the pinout diagrahms online where they have all the numbers and crap for the pinouts, are they naming them with the actual clip on the car facing upward or downwards? Like the thing that clips on the ecu, is it facing down or up? Know what I am asking?

The tab part of the plug faces up.

well then I don't know what the #### im doing wrong then!? I wired it up exactly how it says on prostreetonline and it still doesnt work. Like I were to think that it would still turn on even if you had some wires messed up and you had the power and the ground wires correct? My safc doesnt even turn on!! the only one that I get messed up on is pinout 58 because there is no wire running to 58 on the plug. There is just a 57 and a 59. Also it says to use the brown wire with the red strip which is pinout 84 according to the directions but it is not!! Pinout 84 is a blue wire with a white strip and pinout 90 is the brown with red stripe wire. What the hell is wrong with this?!?:notgood::notgood:

Alright I made a quick little pic on what my problem is right now. I wired it up exactly as how it says on the manual and it still doesn't power up......

Here is the problem I have with the pinout 58..... There is a wire everyother pinout so I can't run the 58th pinout. What did everyone else do?

I think you are reading the harness backwards. You read pinouts from the back of the plug, from the direction the wires enter it. Read this then this.

What the F U C K! Wow It would have been alot better if I knew that before I mowed down half of the harness LOL.

Ok so I wired it up all correctly now and the only problem that I have now is that my screen doesn't power up. Like the buttons light up their orangish color but no power to the screen? What can be wrong now? And BTW I wired it up how it says on vfaq.

Ok so I finally got everything to work fine and now my question is. How the hell should I start tuning LOL. Should I zero out everything and go from there? Also what percentages should I use for my TH-point?

coil pack splits in half, so ecu and afc think that the car is 2 cylinder. under settings where you can pick if its v6 or what ever there is a option for 2 cylinder mode. im like 90% positive that my setting on mine is 2cyl. id have to go out to the shop and turn my key on to check but im sure its a 2 on the afc. can any one else give some imput on this. i know it makes a performance differance

If you pick up the RPM signal from one of the ECU outputs for the power transistor then the SAFC only see half the ignition pulses and you have to set it to 2 cylinder mode. If you use the Tach output from the power transistor to the ECU and gauge cluster like show in the 2G diagrams Apex'i shows then it will be fine set to 4 cylinder mode.
