i adjusted the tps to .5ohms still shifts eratic and early does anyone know what might be the cuase of this?thanx

tps(throttle position sensor) may have gone bad... mine would downshift for no reason and would not shift atthe right time

A little more detail 'bout the situation would help.

the gears are shifting too early like first to second at 10mph second to third at like 20-25 mph and third to forth at like 45 mph. this is when u are barly pressing the gas.

This sounds normal. When I start out from a standstill in 1st gear and am very light on the throttle I can get my car into 4th gear by 20 mph! This is on my '91 turbo a/t. The lighter you are on the throttle the sooner you'll upshift -- if you have the petal floored it should be holding the gear to redline at least in 1st and 2nd gears.

Every automatic I've ever driven has always run up to redline when the accelerator petal is floored.

i could swear to you when i floor my car it only goes up to 5600 exept for 4th gear
