auto transmission down shifting hard.

I have a 1994 Eagle turbo that is down shifting hard into first gear. The transmission is also shifting hard while going up. Does anyone have any idea were I should strat with this transmission, could this be a kick down servo?

Did this just start happening? Or has it happened since you bought the car? Personally I'd rather have a hard shifting auto-tranny. In my expeirience when the shifts get slushy is when you should start worrying.

yeah it does sound like there is a shift kit in the trans.

My car did that even after I had the trans rebuilt. We fixed it after installing a new trans computer.
