Transmission oil check

Hey guys i have 99 spyder SOHC and i would like to check the transmission oil. Where can i check in the transmission? N if low what oil you guys recommend. I was thinking even if it didn't need any maybe do oil change on it?

My bad its 5speed. SOHC MEANS SINGLE OVER HEAD CAM i dont have a DOCH motor

Mitsubishi calls for MZ320195 fluid which is 75W80.

Manual trans generally do not have a dipstick. There is a fill plug and a drain plug on the trans. With the car on level ground and the fill plug open it's full when it won't hold anymore. You can stick your pinky in the hole and feel for fluid. If you have fat fingers don't get your finger stuck if it's full generally a little will run out when the plug is removed. Fill plug is on the side of the case, drain towards the bottom.
Any 75-80 gl4 fluid works fine. Not a gl5.
