transmission noob question

Can a 2g 95 awd talon transmission work on a 1g 92 awd talon if the transfer case is kept from the 95 instead of using the transfer case off the 92? I know this question is kinda stupid but thanks for helping me out

It should work, but make sure your t-case has the same spline count as the transmisson on the t-case output shaft.
