Ok so a 2 parter. #1.....how do i check an engine light on a 1g and #2 would a blow through gm maf cause said engine light?

To check codes on a 1g, you need to watch voltage pulses/spikes from the diagnosis connector. You can buy a 12v buzzer from Radio Shack or wherever and it makes it a lot easier.

When you say your GM Maf is causing a CEL, do you have a Maf Translator or anything else to tune with? How it it wired in?

im interested in this but i got a few questions and i cant reply in there.

the codes listed in the link start from 11 and on and then claims that 1 long steady pulse counts as number 10. what about all the codes from 1-9??

what exactly do the pulses look like and how would i go about knowing if its throwing multiple codes?

any video of this would be greatly appreciated
