Noob Question.

Alright well I have a 97 gsx with a 6bolt swap done to it. I was wondering when I buy things for my car would I buy it for a 2g or for the 6 bolt. For example clutches, flywheels, short shifter, spark plugs ect.

Well if you have the 6 bolt in your car you would buy parts for the 1g 6 bolt. If you buy for the 2g your buying for the 7 bolt so they wont match up.

Depends on what you're buying. You'd need a 6 bolt flywheel (the names '6 bolt' and '7 bolt' is actually the number of bolts that hold the flywheel on)

Clutches are the same between the two motors.

Short shifter - you'd still need to buy one for a 2g

Spark plugs - same between the two motors

Right. You also have to specify if you want one for awd or fwd for the flywheel.

Also when you buy a flywheel just buying one for 1g wont work. You will need to specify that you want one for the 90-92 6 bolt years. In mid 92 the 1g motor was switched to the 7 bolt crankshaft.
