I was told by Trevor at Jack's transmissions to overfill my manual transmission with 3 quarts even though the capacity is 2.4. He said it was better for the bearings and keep the heat down. My question is should i fill the tranny with 2.5 qts of Redline MT-90 and drain and fill my t-case with the other .5 or should I just fill the tranny with all 3 quarts? I just want what is best for my tranny to protect it and for smooth shifting.

2.2 QTS in the F5M33 tranny - plain and simple.

When the fluid starts to come out of the fill hole, that's a sign that you got enough in the tranny case - put the bolt back in.

This goes for all manual trannys.

If you have a 420A Chrysler setup, stay away from REDLINE MT-90 ! You need the ATF+4 fluids. The Chrysler tranny can't work with the contents of other fluids due to its construction of the syncros, and your syncros will suffer if other fluids are used.

Not sure about the over fill it thing.
Fill till it comes out the fill hole. Put bolt in and drive a couple miles. Recheck after driving and cooled down. Add more if necessary.

I would agree the mt90 would be a good choice for the tranny but I would go with redline shock proof in the tcase.
