I am going to get straight to the point. I had a new t-case installed about 6k miles ago. The front of my car has been on jack stands for 2 weeks now and there is a puddle under the t-case. I can see the oil dripping off the drive shaft. Is it ok to leak when the car is at an angle? Is the normal level of the fluid usually below the seal? Will I ever have to not worry about my tires locking up?!?!?!? Please help! I am starting to think of selling it.

thanks

It sounds like the drive-shaft yoke is leaking. A way to fix it is to remove the yoke and you will see a plug in there. That's where the oil is coming from. I TIG weld them so they won't leak, but many like to use JB weld too. I don't care too much for the JB weld trick, because they tend to crack the JB and leak again. If you can't TIG weld it nicely, I'd remove the old plug, find another and pop it in with a little sealant to prevent it from leaking again. Also, that is a factory recall if you can get the dealer to do it...

Factory recall it is one of the cars in my garage happens to leak just like that unfortunatley the dealer wouldnt repair it. The good new the new yoke and seal already assemled was sold to us for $60 and thats the oem part cant beat that deal!!!!

I replaced the entire t-case. Wouldnt the new one come with a good seal?

thanks for the help

The yoke is at the end of the driveshaft and is the piece that slides into the t-case, it is not the t-case. You will have to take apart the UV joint at the end of the driveshaft to get the yoke out.
