trans issue

So i have a 93 talon non turbo auto car it is stock everything but the trans is acting funny all of a sudden kinda shifting hard into some gears not always but also it will when cold ill come to a stop on a downhill it will rev up and jump forward while on the brake off gas

So i was thinking of putting a turbo fwd trans into it will it be direct swap converter and all and also does it seem maybe the converter is going bad being how its jumping like it is

I could be way off base but that sounds more like an engine issue, like a surge, then trans... It'd have to rev hard to push past you on the brakes.

as for shifting hard, it's an auto.. when was the last time the fuild and filter was changed? flush it, put a good filter and fresh fuild in it and see if that'll fix your problem before you start pulling her apart.

Its not like im hard on the breaks when it does it and it has less than 20k miles on rebuild and it has also been in drive cruising at about 45mph and it just reved to about 5k i shut cruise off it stoped jurked and went back to where it should have been rpm wise
