Trans Eating Reverse Switches

I can't pass inspection because I have no reverse lights.

I've put in three different reverse switches and its always the same outcome. The very end of it gets chopped off by the transmission.

I don't think I torqued it too tight, only hand tight plus 1/2 turn each time.

Any way to fix this minus getting a new trans.

Are you installing the washer with them?

There was no washer when I pulled the original out. So, no.

There is suppose to be a crush washer on there to help seal transmission up. Plus it holds the switch in the correct spot.

Do you have problems with 5th gear? If so this washer should fix both your issues.
