tranny fluid on high mileage car

i recently bought a used 92 laser awd manual transmission for my car cause the gears were grinding. and upon buying the tranny the fluid was takin out of the transmission. so i wanted to put bg syncro shift fluid in my new tranny that has 107,000 miles on it. but after reading more on this, i hear puting new fluid in a higher mileage car is bad. Will the transmission be fine with this new fluid or no?

I heard redline was better. 1/3 MTL 2/3 Mt-90. And no I'd replace it.

ive been recommended bg by just about everyone. Redline is a little to thin. im just worried of it messing up the syncros and seals

Personally, I prefer Penzoil Syncromesh. It has good "yellow metal" compatability(see brass synchros) and seems be an especially good band-aid for failing synchros. Eventually you will have to rebuild but in the mean-time Penzoil will help you; it's cheap and it works.

No, fresh fluid will not hurt anything in a gearbox. Nor in any other mechanical contrivance I've heard of.

We have plenty of "Which Trans Fluid?" threads. Don't steer this one in that direction.

o no trust me im not trying to make another fluid thread. ive seen more of those than needed. but ive heard so many say either its fine to change fluids and not to that i just didnt really know what to do. so i just wanted some input. so thanks
