Although right now my attention is focused on replacing my 1g tranny and transfer case (since it's my daily). 2G will get attention when the 1g is finished with.

Looking real nice Guillaume, how is your side mount treating you?

How many over 400hp dsms are
Around here? That arent magnus or forcepower.

I wasn't making fun, he runs an upgraded side mount intercooler and he is the only one I know who does so I was just curious.

you seriously need to get on to DSM canada if you want a real challenge, there are a few guys on that board running 400+ hp DSM's who are in our area.

According to link I'm (or was) just over 500hp at 30 psi on the stock bottom end. Also, you have to use an ISP email address like @bell.ca or @rogers.com

Also, If I recall correctly, he is trying to keep it stock looking/sounding because there is an import hating cop where he lives or something like that.

It's actually great, haven't used it with the fiberglass duct I made a while back yet though. It should, in theory, work even better. Then again haven't tried it with the 2gb front bumper yet, the opening is smaller even with the added fog light hole. The car only has a BigT28 from FP so it cools it beautifully. Although it has a fun turbo coming in from Justin in summer :shhh:  No need for the FMIC, worse comes to worse I'll get water injection, but that's really more of a "push it to the limit" thing. It's quick to accelerate and a pleasure to drive. I don't think I'll ever turn either of my 2 cars into beasts. Reliability and fun driving is all I want.

If this is pertaining to me, close but not exactly. My big decal on the side gets me more attention than any intercooler I could have :p Although Peel police can be considered to "cherry pick" on cars with visible mods. Not that I mind to be frank. I used it as a daily before so Big SMIC was fine for me, never had cooling issues because of blocked air from a FMIC and quick spooling because of the volume of the SMIC gets filled quicker and gives you more of a nervous car (quick to react). Since you can't do anything fun on roads, having a quick accelerating car can become amusing :p I'm not a huge track junky so this was perfect for me. That and I like rare parts, and Big SMICs are rare, I like to be different LOL (other than the Supra SMIC but it doesn't fit quite right)

Volume is just because I don't like to bother others, heck my 1g makes alarms go off in my complex's parking area. The 2g is silent compared to that.

Ah, kk. I recall someone on the Canadian forum was saying something about a cop who picks on our kinds of cars, wasn't sure if it was you. Now that I think of it, I think it was Terry, not sure though. A quick car on the street is definitely lots of fun. Good point on the smaller intercooler.

Took a drive to Ottawa to see a dsm. The car was nothing like the pictures or as the owner's description. Quarters had rust which he tried to hide by spray painting over it. Looked underneath to find a small hole in the floor. The car ran well overall but unfortunately I'm looking for something clean that I can keep for a long time.

After bringing it up with the seller, he got very defensive and said I wasted his time.

As if he drove the 5 hours to be disappointed.

Sure, but then you would have to worry about right hand drive insurance.

Also, sorry to hear about the disappointment drive. I would never drive that far personally just because so many people just screw you on things like that.

I tried to find out what RHD insurance would be too, but the insurance company just hung up the phone on me.

But actually, the guy not yelled, but was very angry at me when I just asked about insuring a RHD vehicle.

Hey guys and girls if there are any here in Toronto. I just wanted to know if there any meets planed for the dsm club here in Toronto? I was told from open of my buddies who lives in Bolton that like last here there are car meets at 400 and hwy 7 every Thursday night. Can any one verify that for me? I live in Scarborough and its a little bit of a drive to go there if nothing is going on. I went last year and there was a lot of cars but every Honda that was there seemed to need to do burn outs which attracted the attention of the cops in the area. Being a little older I have no need to race on the street and have no need to be pulled over because of others who do stupid things on the to street. Are there any DSM meets happening? I like looking at other people's rides to get ideas and to see what others have done to their cars. Some people like one of my buddies has a r32 but the workmanship and attention to detail is something that needs to be shared. If you hear of any day time car meets or night meets please post it. Thanks for your time and hopefully you guys will have parts from your wish lists to install and you can share with the rest of us. I love cars all kinds and makes its a shame if you can't share the love.

Holy Crap....bye,bye mazda!

heres some great pictures of our most recent meet we had in Kitchener/Waterloo, the next one will most likely be in Guelph (or closer) to help get more Toronto bassed guys out to the meets.

K-W meet 2013 - Club DSM Canada

I'll try my best, there are a few of us in the Brampton/Halton Hills area who are always looking for an excuse to have a mini meet. If I mention this to the guys early enough we could maybe get something together for next week?

when you sign up for home Internet you usually get an email address along with it, you can use that email address to easily register with cd.dsm.org OR do like I did and buy a domain name from godaddy for $20 and you automatically get yourself a paid email address.

The only reason you cant register on ca.dsm.org with a hotmail, yahoo or gmail account is because they are heavily linked with spam.. ca.dsm.org likes to keep our members clean and safe, that also why we have to use our real names...member protection.
