Where you one of the many people that had a bad experience with Sean Glazer ??

No, not at all. I like him alot, and would still buy from him or e-mail him if I had a concern or questions about my car. He still sells parts, believe it or not. I brought my CP pistons from him last year 85mm with the 22mm wrist pins, and my current BW s366. My current motor Venolia/ Crower that I got from ,Rich Glorrioso. Sean, also ran something similar in his car back in that period. I currently manage a mutli-million dollar shop, not that I know anything about his dealing with others. I realize you can't make everyone happy, and run a business at the same time. I only go buy my experiences on how I feel, if I choose to do business with people. Sean and his wife, have always been strait with me since 2001 (I brought a my 2nd boost guage while visiting there shop). If that means anything to you.

Man this must have taken you some time to put this together. Kudos on finding the information.

It took me a week to find all the cars in the list with their respective info and available pics/videos. Now its a matter of updating it as the 2013 season begins and cars start to break their own personal records and/or new cars join the Top 50 list. There are a few who are retired, and most of the active cars I'm facebook friends with either the owner/driver or the racing team, so keeping up to date shouldn't be too hard...

I bet more people on this list used lower compression 9.0 and lower then todays high compression 10.5 to 1 e-85 monters.

I wasn't aware someone other than Brent Rau ran an Eclipse under a 7.

Thanks for making me feel slower than an 18 wheeler, by the way.

Nice list!!! #42, Sean Glazer's run was at Virginia Motorsports Park on 4/24/2005. I was there, it was awesome!

Keep in mind, according to Sean, he's gone 8.2....so he's actually quite a bit higher on this list than he appears...

He did it once from what he told me. His belief is, to make a record or a personal best. You have to run it once, and do a back up pass the same day, at the same track. The run has to be within a margin of the 1st pass. My best pass was ####ed up, but it's my best past, and the car only lasted for that one pass and broke the next past when we turned the boost up.

Pretty cool! Thanks for putting that together! Be cool to see where Buschurs new 1g lands on the list. Get his name in there 3 times!

Thanks but I don't see that happening. That car is being built to just run some 8.80-8.9's reliably. I have no desire to chase those records and waste stupid amounts of money anymore. Hopefully my EVO will end up in the same 8.8-8.9 range this year...on street tires and that'll be good enough for me.

Having 9 cars on the list with our engines in them is a bigger accomplishment to me.

I think you are going to be surprised how fast the 1g auto is going to go! 8.8 in a race prepped auto with all Buschur parts is going to be be easier than ya think i bet! 9 cars on the list is also a testament! Just insane how fast some of the older cars were going for their time and availability of parts. I wanna see some people move up the list for 2013!

Yeah, that's the amazing part to me too! We ran 7.8's on a STOCK DSM computer with a Todd Day chip in it, that chip removed fuel cut, advanced the timing a bit and removed the rev limiter, that's it. We had a VPC/GCC in it for fuel control. The car ran 7.8 at 174 mph on one single set of 660CC fuel injectors! hahaha Nobody can even believe it now. The extra fuel we needed (which at the time we had no idea we needed it since there were no wide bands) was done through the nitrous jet. There's many-many days I think about building another serious car just to prove a point but it's a money pit with no where to race. We should have done a dragster like we talked about so many times back then. It's a shame the top car is a snitch now.

Like I always say, its NOT what parts you use but how you combine parts. Buschur is a living testament to my thought...

This is a great idea for a thread GREAT JOB gabytech i will be following along!

Maybe this should be stickied!?

That my friend is an awesome accomplishment! Well done.

Before the Buschur, Shep, and Brent "motherfkin" Rau days, there was Eric Yamil's RWD Mirage "El Sakura" G54B-Starion 4cyl engine, who was the 1st 4cyl car to break the 7sec barrier. Thats the car that change my life for ever and influenced my Mitsubishi dark side. My 1st car was a brand new 97 5th gen Mitsubishi Mirage coupe. At that time Sean Glazer had ditch his 1G AWD Talon and had a 5th gen FWD mirage coupe with the Talon's 4G63 engine running 9s... MITSUBISHI TILL DEATH !!!!

Sakura. Damm I haven't heard that name in a while as a life long rotary guy he was always the man to beat.

Hope you don't mind but after seeing this thread i couldn't help but post this up (believe it or not i still have TURBO mags from the 90's still sitting under the bed......the wife keeps telling me to toss them but i just can't get myself to do so ROFL)

Don't mind my drawing of what was my dream for my 85 Corolla GTS back when i was 17 (3TC / 44mm side-draft carbs / BIG turbo)

Thanks for putting together this list. :)

It's a shame the top car is a snitch now.

You realize I had nothing to do with that right? This was like 7 years ago at a race, I had nothing to do with it and you're still dwelling on it? I've been wondering why you had something against me.

There's many-many days I think about building another serious car just to prove a point but it's a money pit with no where to race. We should have done a dragster like we talked about so many times back then.

You could build a dragster or a door car like your old car (or hell, even a FWD car if you want) and run in NHRA Comp Eliminator like we do. It's a great time with great competition. We'd love to have more turbo cars race with us, and you're in a pretty good area to hit a lot of races without too much traveling.

Keep in mind, according to Sean, he's gone 8.2....so he's actually quite a bit higher on this list than he appears...

Actually that was in his RWD full chassis Hyundai Scoupe, which was just added to the list at #26.

List updated.
