if you have a 420a motor then it could be ur throw out bearing. there are two little plastic tabs that hold the bearing to the fork and if those tabs break then bearing will sometimes grind on the clutch as it isn't being pulled away from it
I think I have this issue right now with a brand new throw out bearing it gets stuck at the top and won’t come back down. do you need to pull these tabs out and get it on the clutch fork or lever?

when you installed the TOB, did you lube the input shaft sleeve that the TOB rides on?

i'm pretty sure every TOB i have tried to install, that came with a 420a clutch, had at least one of the tabs break. never tried to run one after the tab broke. I would get one from the dodge dealership. The mopar ones never broke on me.

if you have to replace it,
here is the part#
04670026ab

i check a couple of the mopar parts websites and it looks like they're running $80-90.

you might check cimotorsports.com
or modernperformance.com
to see if they have a cheaper price.

The one included with my Southeastern clutch kit did not have plastic tabs. They were metal. And I had zero issues with the installation. Maybe source one with metal tabs instead of plastic (i honestly don't know why they're plastic to begin with)
