How are u getting a main power wire 4 gauge through the firewall any common spot to use I was looking but it was dark and I could not find any obvious spots that would work please post pics :hmm:

Im pretty sure on the passengers side there is a spot where you can drill by the floor board to get the cable right to the battery. Ill have to look tomorow tho. What are you going to be running in the car? Just out of curiosity =]

420a batterys are on the drivers side correct?? If so make a slit in the rubber boot where the steering shaft comes through the firewall...of course make it as far away from the shaft as possible...

Or there is that other way.....take your chances find a spot and drill through the firewall...I wouldn't reccomend this though (unless your 100% sure you won't drill through any wires/lines)

And if you choose to drill through it. You should seal it after the wire is passed through so water doesnt get into your car.

When I had my system I tucked mine underneath the fender then routed it underneath the kick panel to the back of the car. really easy to do and could not see and exposed wiring.

i ran 0 gauge on my avenger for my old system and i drilled a hole in the fire wall

im honestly surprised we didn't have any "door jam" guys fess up! haha

Haha right...

On my 1g, I routed my power wire beneath the battery there's a quarter sized hole and I somehow jammed it in there to get down by the passenger kickpanel...if I had wire another 1g I wouldn't do it my way again haha but it is hella clean and the shortest route besides drilling a hole...Mind you my car is a 90 awd so yours may or may not be the same

I went with the slit in the boot method also has nor done me wrong yet.

I think I will try the slit in the boot method thanks for all your help I appreciate

What I am running for stereo I have a t 500 monoblock for my sub and a p 400x4 for my his and mids both rockford fosgate for subs I have two p2 12 inch woofers in a ported box and for speakers I have 6.5 inch fosgate power series and fosgate 6x9 punch series and an alpine deck

If you are an auto you could route it out from where the clutch master cylinder would be at. The holes are pre drilled.

I'd just be a little cautious running that large of a wire right by the pedals to be honest.

I ran mine through the driver's side fender along side the stock wiring and into the car where the stock wires go and just used some clear silicone to seal it up. then ran it under the sill molding to the back of the car. Just unbolt the drivers side splash shield and you can access the stock wires and that boot into the interior. wish I had pics for ya...

i drilled a hole in the hump in the middle by the gas pedal. it goes under the car, but above the exhaust shield. then under carpet to under driver seat, across and to the back behind paneling.

now that was for my main battery cable. fat ass 2gage. put battery in trunk.

On my old eclipse with a 420a, there is a rubber grommet on the passenger side; just to the bottom left of the manifold if I remember correctly.

i ran my 4 gauge through the plug on the firewall on the passenger side, then under the "below door" kick panel. this is also the same feed wire i tap into for my fuel pump relay under my rear seats. then to the capacitor and amp in the trunk. tucked out of the way and out of sight :)
