ebay exhaust systems?

My Accord had a Ebay Exhaust on it, Loved it! My best friends GST has a Ebay Exhaust on it, it sounds awesome! I'm going with an ebay exhaust and I'm moding it to be completely 3" turbo Back and replacing all the flanges with VBand, and I'm making it so the muffler is easy to pull off and I'm gonna have a stock looking 3" muffler to put in its place just for those Exhaust Tickets.

so i want to get full 3 inch exhaust.... i have 700 to spend! im getting the catback exhaust for 330.00, 2.5 to 3 inch downpipe for 125.00, 02 housing dump tube for 60.00, a new stock manifold for 70.00, and the manifold gasket for 35.00. that all comes to 620.00 dollars... this is all suppost to come with gaskets and its all bolt on so im doing it myself.... is there anything im missing??.. anything else i should get to make it work properly??... the car is stock, 1990 laser FWD turbo

Unless the d/p is a cat eliminator you will need to fab up or buy a test pipe. A lot of times if you mis match brands they wont sell a test pipe that works. You will have to get one made if thats the case. High flow three inch cats dont come cheap since the price of platinum is up to almost 1400 an oz. also be aware a LOT of companies on e bay etc sell a "TRUE" 3 inch but it isn't a true three inch, It will neck down to bolt to the stock cat converter, Tsudo I know for sure does NOT do this, They include a bolt on bolt off reducing adapter.

I'd say just get a full custom-made 3" exhaust from the o2 back, weld the muffler on, and you're done.
Then if you'd like to upgrade your o2 get a 2g o2 housing, and if you'd wish to, port it out.
That should help your pocket and still net you some gains.

buy used, thats what I did, I got a used turbo back exhaust for 300 and the exhaust runs for 600+ and then use the rest of the cash for other fun mods, or maintenance

Yup that all you going to need. But why would you replace the manifold with a new 1g one? Why don't you just upgrade to a 2g manifold instead.

What exhaust system you looking at? Those prices sound like the Megan kit? As a warning the Megan 1G kit will stain your nice white bumper due to the design of the cat back. Specifically the muffler not clearing the rear bumper enough. I noticed its more of an issue when running a test pipe as unburn fuel tends to build up and soak into the paint.

Although the Megan kit is high quality and looks sexy i really wish they would do something about the design of the cat back / muffler.

ok i ended up getting a megan 3in exaust should be here next week. its 3in back with adapters and gaskets. slowboy has them almost 60 dollars cheaper on there new website. I got mine for leSs than 400 shipped for the catback.

I have the busher exhaust on my 1g GSX and it comes out like that Megan one. I like the way it looks though.

But mine sticks out alittle farther so i dont have that problem on the bumper.

You get what you pay for. I have had an ebay one on my WRX fit decent didn't leak but my COBB turboback fit much better and sounded better. It's worth it if you are on a budget though.

I had a custom exhuast made for my GTI VR6. When I got my 1G talon, I was going to do them same, but my brother suggested ebay. It was a much better deal. I paid 220 shipped to my door. It was 3'' , but it did have to cut and reweld a small section by the flange to the DownPipe to get it to fit just right.
Still for all the pipe, hangers, and gaskets it was worth it.

this much i know 3"inch SRS cat-back stainless steel systems on e-bay are sweet for $200.00 i purchased one over a year ago for my daily driver 98 gs-t and still looks new which is pretty good considering i live in Alaska.

If looking at purchasing a exhaust off of E-bay for a good sound & good looks & at a price that won't break the bank the SRS system is the way to go no doubt.

I have a no name ebay exhaust system on my car, and I am very pleased with it. 3 inch catback for right around 175$ shipped I couldnt pass it up. In my opinion it sounds great, and compared to my friends evo's that mostly have greddy the sound is similar (not ricey)

Installed my Bomz intake yesterday (Ebay, $45). I'm no mechanic, and it only took me about 40 minutes, including removal of old intake.... Had to cut away part of the lower splash guard to accomodate the filter

Now I ordered a header and exhaust, all stainless mandrel bent. Pretty much "no name" stuff, but I didn't spend much. Both auctions were "Best Offer" auctions and I entered a LOT lower than the opening bid, and was pretty suprised when I saw invoices in my inbox! haha!

Uncle works at local exhaust shop, so I'll have him hook it up in case there are any unforseen fit issues. I'll definetely post pics and video for sound when it's done.

I'm hoping these aren't complete crap, but cant' be any worse than the leaking rusted factory stuff I have on now . I was only gonna put on the exhaust...but after Seafoaming the car earlier this week, quickly realized I have a manifold leak, so I decided to replace that as well.

I know this is an old thread but was wondering how these exhausts have been holding up? ? I've read through most of this and heard that some ebay sales have wrong pics for the awd models, but all of the ones currently listed show the gst exhaust but say it will also fit a gsx. Has anyone bought one for a 95-99 awd lately, and is it indeed the awd model even though all the sellers show the wrong pics?
