Tire choice... Not for my GSX!

Hey everyone,


So my DD, if you want to call it that, is a 1993 Honda Accord with 209,000 miles. The rear passenger tire has a split in the side wall and since I need new tires anyway, I'm buying a set of 4.

So my questions is as follows; which tire should I buy?? I have narrowed it down to 3 but wanted some feedback. So here is my list:

Pirelli P6 Four Seasons $72

Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S $97

Michelin HydroEdge w/ Green X $99

Also if anyone knows a cheap shop to mount and balance, as I don't have a place to do it myself.

i actually work at a tire shop and i would say the pirelli's they are a good all season tire in my opinion plus they are cheaper if its just your DD i wouldnt go all out you wanna look for something thats gonna be better for winter unless you have strictly winter tires

+1 on the Pirelli P6 Four Seasons. I got them on my gfs car, they work great up here in north dakota in the winter.

Pirelli makes a nice tire, aside from their Scorpion line-up for SUV's. Anything Michelin is overpriced. The Hydroedge is a nice tire, but it'll suffer from dry-rot cracks in the sidewall within three years; all Michelins do, sooner or later. The Hydroedge is also not quite as good in the winter/snow/slush/ice as the Goodyear Assurance Tripletred that it is copied from. The Tripletred has three different rubber compounds across the face of the tread to get ultimate traction in ice and snow, as well as water and dry. They're probably the best all-season tire for winter traction short of going to an all out winter tire, which you have to switch out every spring. However, the price is going to be up there, close to the Michelin price, assuming they make it in your size.

Pirelli's for sure...i like all weather or all season tires on most cars...usually they give the most bang for your buck...figuratively speaking of course. unless your looking for more winter style being in Penn...im not to sure about that area.
