ok i got everything timed up but my crank pulley.... i found the timing mark on the crank sprocket, but i cant find the timing mark on the block to time it to... theres nothing like the one i timed the oil sprocket to. do i need to put the timing cover back on and time it to the TDC on that to get it?

my question "Does anyone have any up close real pics (not diagrams) of the timing marks?" whenever i search i find drawn diagrams or the pics are for 1gs... i probably should just put the timing cover on and try it.. but its harder to tell if its right on or not... thanks

yes i have read that.. but i didnt think i should go by that figure because it has that tip on the right of the sprocket.. where that timing mark is in fig 17. i have some sensor bolted on PLUS the timing cover shows the TDC mark being on the left side and not the right side

Green dot is roughly where the 2g timing mark is. The red dot is for a 1g 6 bolt block.
