Well i fixed my timing belt and finally got my marks to line up. But now when its cold when i first start it up it hesitates. i really dont know why maybe becasue before when the marks were off the computer was trying to compensate it. now that i fixed it i was thinking that the computer hasnt fixed the compensation??? but i really dont see how the car hesitates when its cold but when its hot its fine. i checked all my hoses and such theres no leaks. i really dont see what the prob is cause whne its cold its leaner in my mixture and when its warmed up its back to the same old readings it was before i did the timing. my car never did this before i did the timing o its not an existing prob its a new one. anyone know what the heck this is all about?? thanks.

Do you have a logger of some sort? If you don't hear any bad noises from your engine (like pistons hitting valves) I'd say your timing belt is fine. Do you have a GM MAF? Sometimes in mine, it takes awhile for it to run right. With turbo cars, sometimes it takes awhile for the oil to warm up and flow right, but thats only when it gets really cold. I usually let mine warm up a bit before I drive it. Does it run fine once its fully warmed up?

the timing is pefect on every mark thats all right. but yes it does run fine when its warmed. you think that me running the car for about 500 miles with the marks like a 1/8 off will make the computer pull timing and add in fuel or whatever, and now that its fixed its still trying to do that until it can adjust to the new timing???

I doubt the computer is having trouble. It usually only takes about 2-300 miles for my computer to adjust to a change. If your worried about it, you could reset the ECU...but then your computer has to start from square one to map your fuel trims. Not that big of a deal, but if you think it'll help..

Also, you might want to try testing compression when its cold, and then again when its warmed up. Maybe because timing was off a little bit, you damaged a valve(s) and it only seals when its warm. Testing compression is never a bad thing anyways, so it couldn't hurt.

this is what exactly happening to my car. when i dont warm my car up and just go after starting the car, i would get this slight hesitation. its like if i'm letting off the throttle even though i'm not. i tend to drive really slowly when i do this start and go,. and from what i notice, it only happens when i step on the gas lightly(no boost)between 2nd and 3rd gear.

Note: this issue started just right before i replace my water pump, tming belt, tensioner, and pulleys. unfortunately, the damn hesitation never goes away.

well nothin was hitting or anything but one thing that i didnt do was put a new o2 housing gaskets both of them i just used the old ones u think that might throw off the o2 sensor or mess up boost.

well yesturday i remmeber when i retimed it that i never disconnected the battery so i unhoooked it for like and hour yesturday and started it up. everything seemed fine and after like 20 min it ones running stutter free when it was cold. so i guess that was the prob.
