2G Timing is 10 degrees advance, is it good or bad?

ok i timed my car and i got all the marks as close as i could have got and i scanned my car and it said my timing was 10 degrees in advance. runs just fine. i was curious if its bad to have it at 10 degrees?
 
Thats your spark advance, not your physical timing. 10 is normal i guess, but 1gs have more agressive timing maps, im not sure about 2g's.
 
yeah thats what i meant.. And well iwas reading on diff forums and they said five was good but i am not sure. i talked to one other person and he said i am fine if not better off then i was. the only reason this happened is because i had to replace the cam position sensor i had to re time it all because that damn sensor was behind the intake cam gear but i timed everything good. so who knows..
 
Idle timing right, not full throttle timing?

Base timing with the pin grounded should be 5 BTDC, don't worry about idle the ECU will take care of that. 10* when the pin is not grounded is normal.
 
Yes, the idle timing is what I am talking about. Yes, my friend did say that also about to not worry about it because the ecu will take care of it, but what do you mean when the pin is not grounded is normal?
 
When the pin is grounded it should be 5 BTDC.

When the pin is not grounded the ECU will take care of it, but 10 BTDC is a typical number to see. If it fluctuates that's normal, no big deal.
