Timing belt issue

Ok my timing belt is olmost damn near dead on but not exactly dead on would this cause my car to make a weird idk how to explain it its olmost like a p'oed hornet between 1000 and 2500 rpm anything after that its ok

You're having a belt tension issue. I haven't pinpointed whether it's related to the belt being too tight or too loose, but it's happening in the short area where the belt is unsupported between the tensioner and the exhaust cam gear.

I've seen cars make that noise a while and it goes away, and I've also seen cars run fine for very long time while making the noise. Never have I known it to cause a failure....it's just really annoying.

I seem to get the noise when I set the timing belt tension as described on the vfaq.com guide. If I set the tensioner so that the pull-pin can be easily pulled out when the eccentric is set and the long tensioner compression bolt is removed, I don't get the noise.
