I don't understand fully how to use the timing tensioner tool. Do I remove the motor mount bracket. There is a hole in the bracket but the tool doesn't go all the way through any help would be appreciated.

You don't need to remove anything except the rubber plug in your timing cover to put the tensioner tool through. Then thread it in until it is compressed and the belt will have slack. If this is a new tensioner you are installing and need to adjust it for what ever reason be careful and release or apply tension very slowly when rotating the tensioner tool.

For installing a new tensioner just compress it VERY slowly in a vice and stick a 1/8" allen wrench in the hole in the tensioner housing to hold it. Then bolt it into place and install timing belt. Now compress the tensioner with the special rod so you can remove allen wrench. Then proceed with timing belt tensioning proceedure.
