okay here is the question. my boy has a turbo xs dual stage boost controller and a tial 44mmm external gate He has the boost controller hooked up to the top of the watsegate and the other vacuum line to the side from the intake. now it holds the regular 13psi but when he flips the swith the boost spikes like crazy... should he only connect the bottem and leave the top vented? I searched but nothing really explained anything with the turbo xs dual stage.

Run a vacuum line from your intake manifold (or tee it into the vacuum line for the BOV or fuel pressure regulator) to the Silver nipple, then run a vacuum line from the blue nipple to the side port on the Tial Wastegate. The top port should not be connected at all.

The use of the top port and the side port together are commonly used on applications using an electronic boost controller with a solenoid, so that it can control the opening AND closing of the valve.

If that doesn't help, here are the company's FAQ's on installation of their products:

Seriously, this isn't rocket science. As well, anyone that is a "proven member" because they have 2 posts over 5 years, and have a modification list "too long to type out", and has problems installing a manual boost controller, should post in the NEWBIE SECTION. :notgood:

Seriously don't bump your thread after nearly an hour on the forums. Your connections on the external wastegate are wrong read the instructions from tial here.

*EDIT*twinks69 ya beat me. too slow to post...damn work getting the way. GRRRR
