i have some heat resistant, vibration, fuel, oil, water resistant sylicone gasket sealer.....

can i use this for my TB? or do i have to order the gaskets??

its made for like head gaskets and stuff so....... but i just wanna be sure

I would say you HAVE to get the OEM gaskets, anything else is just a cobb job.

You can use Felpro or any other gasket, but use the gasket as it blocks off some things that you need blocked off, and there is no need to glue it to the mani with rtv....

Go and get some OEM gaskets. The sealer stuff will hold for a while, but sooner or later it WILL start to leak and then you have to scrape all that crud off. Believe me, I did that as a temporary fix once, now I have OEM gaskets.

If you absolutely cannot find a gasket for the throttle body, you can buy a piece of gasket material at any auto parts store and cut your own.
I like to use a piece of paper to trace the pattern then transfer it onto the gasket material. then use and exacto knife to cut out the center hole and outline. I like to use a HOLE punch to knock out the bolt holes. I buy a roll of that shit, and make a lot of my own gaskets. You can also apply some RTV silicone if you want extra assurance.

+1, I do the same thing. I've made all sorts of gaskets like this. e.g. Turbo oil return line, EGR block off. etc.:hellyeah:

I use permatex gasket maker for anything that dosent absolutely require a gasket from the dealer. These things come apart so often I would go broke if I had to put new gaskets in everytime.

IF i need a parper gasket that i can't get very easily or is just too much for me to spend on a gasket I will Cut the outline from a sheet of gasket paprt, and after getting it roughed out i will use old empty bullet/shell casings as punches to knock out the bolt holes cleanly.

MOst of the time the parts will leave a nice full impression of where they need cut, but if the part is too clean i will use either black charcoal dust from the grill or spray paint placed on said part to allow it o have some media to transfer the inner cut-out areas and bolt holes. Use a razor everywhere you can get a clean cut and use the bullets for all round areas that you can't get a clean cut or ust needs to be nice and smooth on all it's edges
