Resolved Throttle body for 6-bolt?

By sensor, do you mean the TPS? I was not able to see in your profile what year your Talon is. 1G N/T Throttle Bodies were larger: 60mm vs. 52mm.

Others can chime in too, but on a 7-bolt a 6-bolt 4G63, although the throttle bodies may be a different diameter, the TPS is the same size. Be careful though, early 1Gs had a separate Idle Switch that was replaced with a circuit in the TPS in the 2G, and maybe earlier.

If you can clarify the year of your Talon, people can help you determine is and if a wire modification needs to happen.

You will need to machine the mouth of your intake too if you are using the larger Throttle Body.

if you are referring to a throttle body swap well...
the 1990 6 bolt throttle body has a different looking tps on them, the 1991-1994 1g throttle body is what your looking for. the 2g tps will work on the 1991-1994 1g throttle body so thats all you need and forget about the idle switch it's built into the 2g tps units, you can keep your stock 2g wiring intact if you do it this way. of course you will need to port match the 2g manifold to fit the 1g throttle body and just reuse your 2g isc.

if you were just asking what sensors were better design wise, then
I'd say, the 2g sensors are arguably the better sensors, so keeping them is a good idea, also they will look more stock then hacked up wires.

Sorry I screwed up when trying to type on my phone. The car is a 96 Talon, the motor is a 6 bolt. My question was should I use the throttle body off of the removed 7 bolt, or should I use the throttle body that is on the 6 bolt? Basically what throttle body performs better and

All the 1G throttle bodies for the 4G63 had an external Idle Position Switch which also doubles as the throttle stop.

The 2G TPS would be preferred on a 2G swap either with a 2G TB or on a 91-94 1G TB. Keep in mind that neither will fit if you wind up with a 90 fuel rail. Keep the 2G fuel rail since it matches the fuel fittings and will clear the TB/TPS.
