This isn't happening!

Hey everyone, I just spent 400$ fixing the passenger control arm and ball joints because of a loud creeking sound. Everything seemed fine, and I drive home and now I think the drivers side is doing the same thing!!! How odd is it for both to go at the exact same time...

I don't find it odd. Both parts probably wear at about the same rate.

Not odd at all. That's why it's recommended that ball joints be replaced in pairs. Is this just the lower lateral control arm or both lower control arms on the passenger side? $400 for one side?? Is that U.S. dollars?

i agree...not odd at all. usually once one side goes the other does if you dont fix it soon enough

You don't need to replace the arm unless it's bent. The balljoints I remember only cost about $35/each, I paid a local machine shop another $30 to press out the old, in with the new for both sides.

if this is on a 2g, make sure that your not a part of the control arm RECALL.........
