I installed a mbc onto my 2g. Everything hooked up fine ( i think!!!). At least according to this walk through http://www.belitski.com/cars/talonmods/turbo/vfaqhallman.html

I disconnected the two hoses coming from the wastegate silenoid that were going into the intake pipe and the other split into a y into the turbo and wastegate. Connected the lower nipple on the mbc to the wategate. And the other nipple on the mbc teed into the bov line. Capped off the nipple on the intake pipe as well as the nipple on the bottom of the turbo. All the lines were clamped nice and tight.

Heres the problem:
1. I was running 10psi on stock turbo, 1g throttle body, intake and turboxs bov. After I installed the mbc and went for a drive, my gauge pegged and hit 21 psi OMG!!!

2. I freaked out stopped the car, and adjusted the screw all the way out, and checked the hoses. No help what so ever.

WHAT SHOULD I DO???

Am I missing something? Am I supposed to plug up the two holes on the wastegate silenoid where I pulled the lines from? I really appreciate your help guys!!!

try screwing it all the way in.. LOL thats what I would do next

been a while since i touched my controller but i think out is more boost and in is less

Well to my knowledge turning it in is supposed to add boost and out is to decrease it.

Yea, put that adjustment screw all the way in. If that doesn't help, make sure you have the hoses going into the boost controller the right way. When you go out and test it again, get on the gas slowly so if it does spike you wont break anything.

try it and find out.. turn it all the way in and see what it boosts to.. thats the first thing you should have tried so simple LOL

It sounds as if it is hooked up backwards.

You have your pressure source on the nipple directly across from the adjustment screw, correct?

Quoted from the Turbo XS MBC instructions:

"This boost controller has two boost control mechanisms built into it. One is a ball and spring system for large, coarse boost pressure adjustment and the other is a bleed valve system for fine adjustment. The ball and spring bechanism needs to be pre-set prior to installation into the vehicle as follows:

Gently shake the HPBC backwards and forwards. You will hear the ball and spring mechanism moving inside. Take the adjusting hex key and screw in the coarse adjusting screw in the counter-clockwise direction until the ball and spring mechanism just stops moving when the valve is shaken (approx. 2-3 full turns in the counter-clockwise direction). This will take up the spring slack and the ball is now just engaged.

To adjust:
With the fine adjusting screw initially fully closed (unable to be wound any further in the clockwise direction), wind the fine adjusting screw three full turns in the counter-clockwise direction. Thiw will reduce the vehicle's tubo lag and increase the boost pressure by approx. 1-3psi

Start increasing the boost pressure by winding the course adjusting screw in the counter clockwise direction. One full turn of the coarse adjusting screw will result in a 2 to 4 psi increase in boost pressure."
