Yes, I have seen all of the post of 6-bolt v.s. 7-bolt. I'm sticking with the 7 bolt that I have and have it be rebuilt by a machine shop here in San Antonio. The estimate I've received is $1500 for a rebuild, the shop is also willing to install my parts: piston, rods, arp head studs, rod and crank bolts.
My question is what are some decent parts that I can get "good bang for my buck". ex: eagle, wiseco, manley, edge.
But, I'm thinking of going with wiseco and eagle.
I have read about not shaving the thrust journal for the fact it would change the clearances, which would give me issues.
I would like anyone's input for good parts for decent price. Yes, I know I cant get both. Better parts=more $$$$.
