thermostat housing 1g vs 2g differences? 3 trys, no replies

is there a difference between the 1g 6 bolt thermostat housing and the 2g 7 bolt thermostat housing?


Can you bolt a 7 bolt thermostat housing on a 6 bolt head??

Yes, they are different.

I never tried bolting one from the other.

No you cant swap them. The 2g housing is attached by 4 bolts and the 1g is 3. The way they route the coolant is also totally different.
