I was wondering if anyone could help me with some pictures of where the bolts go that mount the transmission to the engine. I think i am missing the bolt that goes in the opposite way, as the other bolts. I have searched and i did find the vfaq that shows all of the bolts, but its not making sense. I have all of the front bolts in, and i noticed that i also have the bolt in, that is located under the starter bolts. (Bolts in the same as the start bolts.) Im thinking it is the 12mm bolt that is an 8X1.25 that goes in above the transfer case. (That you have to tighten from the engine side) The reason I say Im missing a rear bolt is because whenever i push in the clutch i see the rear of the transmission move a little bit. Im also having disengagement issues as well, so i think this is my problem.

yep you need that bolt what size i dont know but get it right too long it will snap off, keep riding and it will crack your bell housing, use dowel pins in there as well or esle your asking for problems

its over the crossmember right next to the firewall, feel around for a holeo on the block, thats the hole, i would make sure its the correct thread because mine broke off, using the wrong one and had to insert a bolt inside the trans and then put a nut on the end of it, just worked out barely but it holds up. check vfaq might be a instruction on that.

there you go and put a dowel in there or youll have a broken case when the bolt breaks there are 2 in the transmission one up front and one in the back, and you should be good.

Yeah, i just had the transmission out not to long ago. So i made sure that both dowels were in. I must have just forgot about that bolt. So it goes through the rear dowel your saying?

it goes through on the block, the 1g manual shows this with a picture, i bought mine years ago, it helps a lot.

Fixed! Autozone had the bolt. If you have the Haynes manual theres a picture on page 7A-5 picture 7.19a, Its located right by the speedo cable. No more disengagement issues!
