-Honda made these wagons limited edition and therefore the motors come reinforced somehow from factory because thats what honda does to their limited edition cars.

I thought limited editions just got the ugly gold trim.

Not sure if 2G's have the same issue as 1Gs... but the trim right below our windows starts flaking off.. xD So I know a few of us just strip it off and buff it to be all shiney silver.

I bet that, by honda standards, adds 15HP due to less wind resistance... and 20% more car reliability due to reduced weight.

How did you do that?

That happened on my Laser but the rubber goes down inside the door, like along the window track. Couldn't get a nice even chrome strip without losing the functionality of the piece.

The part is discontinued through Mitsubishi. I ended up going to the Chrysler dealer, and one side (passengers?) is discontinued through them. I ordered the driver's side for something like $140, can't remember now. Even though it was a special order they told me to pay when it came in. Well that same night I was going through my garage and found a brand new set of the trim for both sides that I had given to me along with my TSi sideskirts and wing.

Never went back to that dealer again If you need the drivers side window belt trim, Carlson's in Concord, NH probably still has one

And yeah 2g's get it too. Along with Avengers, 3000GT/Stealths, etc.

I know my Stealth's still have them on both cars... but the Green Stealth I have has it peeling along the top where the (cab) meets the hatch.

The way 'WE' did it, was cut it away from the door... under the panel where you couldn't see it but it'd still serve it's purpose.. and then buff the ever-loving hell out of the solid piece underneath. Now when it coms to detail work.. I can only do it with welding and paint... but smoothing is my best friends' area.

Guess that's what you get when you're a graphic designer. Hahah.

One of my adoptive families from when I was younger had a Super Bird... o_o It was beautiful. Orange and Black.
