So for all of you that helped me just weeks ago, it came back....but different. let me explain. When I reset my ECU the CEL came on because I completely blocked off my EGR and since I put on a high flow cat and there's a leak in my mid pipe, i throw a light for my downstream o2. Well every so often my CEL shuts off and the wub wub comes back. WTF This one completely threw me for a loop. My only guess can be the sensor that's hooked up to the EGR. Maybe when the ecu goes through so many drive cycles, it's trying to re-map everything for a correctly working EGR? Again any help is greatly appreciated.

Try this out:
only block the egr side thats connected to the head and leave the side from your intake plenum connected to your egr, remember to keep the vacuum lines on it or it won't work. I used a 5/8 hose to connect the intake plenum to the egr. This is what kept the cel light in my car from popin up.
As for the lower o2 cel light get a o2 sensor simulator from this place.
SymTech Laboratories
This will keep that pesky cel light from lighting up again.

The only thing that stopped the wub wub was me blocking off the entire EGR. So I knew that I'd throw a CEL for that. what I was getting at was that I know why the CEl is being thrown, I'm just wondering why when the CEL is OFF my car doesn't work right, and when it's on, it works perfect? Thanks for the link. I've been looking for one for a while and they seem to have the best prices.

Hmm that is weird. I remember that on my 01 eclipse i would remove the vacuum line from
the fuel pressure regulator and i would get that wub wub on idle too. You may be running
overly rich, that exhaust leak might be causing it.

Backpressure has nothing to do with it - an exhaust leak before the upstream 02 sensor can introduce added oxygen to the exhaust stream. The o2 sensor will pick this up, read lean, and add fuel to compensate, creating a rich condition.

I am otherwise clueless to your issue right now, I'll think about it a bit, as I have other things to be doing right now.

So I think I've narrowed it down to what it could possibly be, mainly cause they are the few things I haven't replaced: Harmonic balacer cause it's starting to whine, Alternator cause it's been whining for a while, oil pressure sending unit cause it's been leaking for some time possibly causing a funny ignition map, or a knock sensor cause it's the only sensor that hasn't been replaced. There is a reward of free tattoo work or piercings for anyone who figures it out. Ill make the drive to do it too!
