Did you pay any attention when looking at the seats? I dont recall seeing any seats like that stock in any dsm. But I guess since you are the god of show, you must know more than the rest of us. Next time, keep your assumptions to yourself. Better yet, quit making assumptions.

Can you see an amp mount? I can't.
I see black seats. You can find them in stock Eclipses.
Can you see any extra gauges? I can't.

I'm not bashing you by any means but when I go to shows and see stock OEM interiors with a few gauges and the owner tells me it's a custom interior I about laugh. That's not custom IMO. Or when they replace a OEM speaker with an aftermarket one. That;s not custom IMO either.

Thus me asking what was custom about it. Couldn't see any of the 'custom' parts from the pic.

anything in the interior that is not 'stock' is classified as custom. . . unless something has changed. door panels that are swapped make the doors to be considered custom. now its not WILD no. but different and no stock yes.

Looks like a stock red GS convertible with painted black rims and some graphics.

No offense to any NT guys but that comment was like a slap to my face and someone else stomping on my balls. Me and a few others put way to much into building that car to have someone say that.

As far as jumping down your throat, I'm not sure what you expected. You just jumped out and said ahhh its a GS with stickers. Maybe you should have said "the link isnt working what all do you have done to the car" That may have gone over better.

Actucally we are all very stand up, when we are not drinking.

But who cares, its all over with. Squash this and move on.

I took her to 3 shows last year and 1 so far this year. I have 2 1st place finishes and 2 2nd place finishes. With the help from a few people the car will be changing through out the season and under go a few major changes during the 08 winter. She will be going to the track and dyno this year to get some numbers as well. I have way to many pic of the build but here is one.

I looked through all of your photos on the link you posted up; great job on the fiberglass subwoofer enclosure, and the amp rack setup. The engine bay is extremely clean and simple; I think you did a very nice job with the car, and I like the stock exterior on it personally. The AWD conversion and the wheel/tire combo is SHARP!! The hard work definitely shows if you go through all the photos you have online; and you have done a great job overall.

As for the vinyl, that is up to each person, and their taste; either way, I feel that the amount you have on the car is very tasteful.

Well I think we are all are Stand up fellas since most of us who decided to comment back to you had some type of effort into building that car, not to mention standing behind a teammate. If having someone back who is a close friend of yours isn't considered a stand up fella, I don't know what is.

We put a lot of hrs into the awd and six bolt swap. Im glad to see that someone has noticed. As for the vinyl, thats part of what Justin does for a living. Im sure it will be different at HIN because he will be promoting his company.

Your the one that has made the assumptions here, read over your own posts. As stated by you, it looks like a GS with wheels painted black. Were we assholes, hell yes. I personally take pride in the fact that I am a complete asshole. Your the one who called him out on being full of it, and we politely (or impolitely) corrected you, thats all. Next time I'd suggest not calling someone out if your not prepared to have it put back in your face.

As far as yours is concerned, when do you think it will be finished? I saw your pics, and its coming along really nice, should be hot when its all finished.

I didn't realize who's car this was. I first saw this (and the process you went through to make it) probably a year ago and have been wanting to do the same ever since. I've a got a huge Diamond Audio amp for my mids and highs that I couldn't figure out where the heck to mount it. Once I saw this amp rack, I knew that amp would never get installed into my car unless I had a similar rack built. Needless to say it's still sitting in my garage.

That storage bin looks clean and neat. I like how it matches the seat nicely. Did you use MDF for the base or is a fiberglass shell? Did you ever consider a CF overlay? Or maybe if you put some lighting around the edges of the amp with a lexan cover. Then frost the lexan and keep a dsm decal in the middle(clear) or something. I don't know, just a thought..

That car has been around for a long time; and is a very nice all-around 1G == if you didn't notice, this thread was brought back from the dead, and you responded to a 4-year-old post.

I guess we should start the 2009 calender stuff a little earlier this year, so that it gets the most publicity possible.

We used a little of everything when making the boxes. MDF, fiberglass, bondo, and it is wrapped in vinyl or painted red, same color code as car.

More then likely all the stuff in the back will be coming out and redone to make room for a cage, so I'm not sure how the new setup will be. I have considered doing lexan with frost and lights but decided not to for now. The interior will also be balck and carbon fiber for next year. I have a carbon hood and trunk lid (thanks Hi-Rev) but I wont be puttin the trunk lid on till over the 08 winter do to the body work that will be taking place, I only want to do it once. But we will see what happens.

When do you think you will have your project done? I'd like to see it.

I can actually have it all done within the week but I have no motivation to do so. I am still trying to find a reputable painter. So, whenever I find one, the dash will be finished shortly after...
