Temp gauge fluctuating

Okay so my temperature gauge is randomly fluctuating.

Like ill just be driving or in neutral with the car running and it will be sitting normal in the middle and out of nowhere start spazzing out flickering.

The temperature is fine, I have dsmlink and I have been monitoring it. and temperature is fine. Doesn't move much. Gauge is just flipping out.

I have been looking and can't find a definite answer. Somebody please clear this up for me.

Maybe its a bad gauge or wiring, what kind of answer did you find before'?

My temp guage did that when my alternator was going out. I know that doesn't make since but it is true in my case.

I can't remember what the other answer I saw was, but it didn't make sense, that's why I wanted to post. Cause I wanted more direct opinions I know it's bit a problem cause I monitor everything on dsmlink. But still wanna fix it
