Ok guys. My temp gauge is reading really high. But i feel no problems when driving the car. Also it goes all the way to the top after like a minute of driving. I dont think they get that hot that quick. But it doesnt get to hot. COolant is circulating. Where is the gauge and is it an easy switch. Also my gas gauge doesnt work no one replied so i guess no one knows the asnwer to that one...

Sometimes There Is A Float In The Gas Tank, The Float Is A Plastic Ball Or Container,if The Float Gets Gas In It The Float Gets To Heavy For The Lever And Will Sit On The Bottom Of The Tank. Thats Something To Look Into

To check to see if the coolant temp sensor works, first unplug it. You know where the radiator hose goes into the top of your radiator? Follow that back to the engine. There should be a sensor that goes in the housing there with two wires coming out of it. You need an ohmmeter to test it. Unplug the two wires and put your two leads on the two inputs to the sensor. Record your value. Now let the car warm up, shut it off, and test it again. The coolant temp sensor is an NTC thermistor, so the resistance should go down as the temp goes up. If it doesn't, the sensor is bad.

Please inspect and adjust your tuning capacitor as needed.

Replace your thermostat with a fail safe one. They're not expensive, even if it doesn't solve your problem, it doesn't hurt to have a new one in.

How would one instpect and do that?
By not talking about the gas sender in a thermostat thread.
Not Using So Many Bizarre And Unnecessary Capital Letters Would Also Help A Lot, But We Are Dealing With SomeOne From Stockton, So Some Things May Not Be Repairable.

Have you had your gauges out lately, because a few months ago I took mine out and when I put them back in one side of the connectors somehow got tucked under and my temp gauge went all the way up after about 1 min and the gas gauge sat on empty.

isn't the temp. gauge sender a 1 wire under the radiator cap? I know on mine it is. I think the 2 wire is for the a/c. If it unplugs and hits something metal it becomes grounded with no resistance and the gauge goes all the way up. I had to put a new female end on mine because it would keep falling off due to being so old and cracking. Also make sure the t-stat is opening by starting the car cold with no cap on it and wait to see if the coolant starts to flow once it warms up or take the t-stat out and put in a pot of hot water and see if it opens.
