I've seached and searched and this is what I have come up with. The 04hl is probably a 13g turbo and mitsubishi mislabled it from the factory. I know a 13g runs at 360 cfm at 15 psi but my question is how does it compare to the t-25. Spool rate? Max power? Etc.

Edit: Also do the same changes apply when I change from this 13g to 16g as it is fromthe T-25?

Thanks

Well in my opinion a t-25 isn't that much better but if you were to go from a t-25 to a 16g then there would be a significant difference from a 13g to a t-25 so it would probably be better just to not even waste your time with a t-25 and just get a 16g and you should be good, well untill you want more that is.

depends what you are also looking for. Everyone usually goes to a 16g. Thus, you would have tons of support on it. You can also pick up a used T28 for cheap in comparison to the other things and mods you might need to incorporate to accomodate the 16g. But, if you already have the set-up, as it seems with the 13g, then the 16g upgrade should be a breeze and you should feel a difference. The T25 is too small. IMO, they should have just equipped the 2gs with T28s from the factory.

OR, have just kept producing the 14b's

I also agree with mjbean. A t25 will have a bit more flow but not even noticeable enough to be worth the hassle to swap over to.

Think of it this way, with your 13g, you have a turbo that uses the same parts a td05h 14b/16g turbo would use, like j-pipe and such, so whenever you're rerady to swap over all you do is transfer your exisiting turbo accessories on to the new snail.

Also gotta love mitsubishi's turbo reliability.

Both turbos are small and not worth the hassle of swapping too.

If you can get the 13g for cheap, I would grab an install kit and rock it for now if your t-25 is on the way out. Then upgrade to a 16g.

If not, or your talking about switching back to t-25. I would just look around for a used t-28 or 16g. They flow pretty close to the same numbers.
