Hey Justin, help me get my hands on a HX52pro or something similar if you really want to show what a Holset can do. We plan on showing people what the Jackal tuning is capable of and right now my Talon is only missing a Turbo/mani... Original plans was a B&W 475 or a 374. I just havent been able to source something in that power range near the price of either turbo.

I think I am going to hop on the Borg Warner Train seems there are really little to no issues with them. Plus they spool very fast

Haha I still haven't put my car together all I need is to get my ex manifold back on and uicp along with the thermal rd vband clamps welded on. It still only has 2500 on the new engine, I just switched over to mobile1 synthetic and I put it in round November I think
I could care less if this thing ever moves the less I drive it the less I have to worry about breaking it Plus my turdy 54 trim is about done on making more power and I don't have any money for a new one . I can't wait to get a job again.

I have another project right now on a buddies car its almost done, I can't wait its wrapping up nicely. After I get this done I will prob start job hunting.

so it turns out this car is on a basic 8:5.1 comp build....not sure of the timing but there is the results u were asking for from a pte turbo

Yeah, I'll believe that....Kisner's car was supposed to be 8.5:1 as well but had an exhaust note that was nothing like a car with stock 2G compression.

Thanks for continuing to clog Dave's thread with nonsense. PTE's are garbage- Dave has run at least one of every brand in the past and the only thing that was close to being as reliable as the HX35 last year and HX40 this year was a MHI 20G. Everything else was horrible...including a new Turbonetics 60-1 that completely shit the bed within the first 200 miles.

You must work for PTE the way you keep attempting to throw this bullshit in our faces.

Keep your eye on eBay, man....or even check with places like Ohio Truck Parts or Goldfarb. I've seen brand new HX52's and HX55's end for $500ish on eBay before but I never bought them for fear of getting stuck with one.

I wish I had the time to track down everyone's specific requests, but the parts are out there....you'd probably be buying from the same place it would!

Nice work TalonDave! I hope to at least pull a low 11 @ 120mph this year with my HX35 setup on E85. I got real close last time out with the 16G (time in my profile) so i should definitely be able to get there with the holset. Hitting the track on the 17th for the first night time drags of the year.

My buddy was just telling me about a local junk yard for diesels that has a giant wooden crate full of BIG holsets. I'll try and find out some info and maybe we can broker a deal. I'm not trying to make anything off it so don't worry about that. PM me if you're interested.

PTE = Junk, period. I personally know of a few that have failed within the first week. MHI & Holset FTW!
