Talon engine in other cars?

Hello,

What would you veterans suggest is the best and lightest four door car I can drop a talon engine in? Taking into consideration originality (style), availability to parts and price of car. Also, this might be a stupid question but can I weld new engine mounts if it doesnt quite fit? Or would that be too dangerous?

Hehe.. too late with the sonata.. my neighbours buddy has a 500 hp sonata. 93 I believe. I looked in the trader.ca for older mitsus and what not but couldnt find many. I guess the best thing would be a 93-94 civic.

How about a corolla or a jetta..

also, is there a difference between a talon engine and a jdm? Other than its from japan?

mabie even earlier....


i need pros and cons to all these cars... can they handle a jdm mitsubishi or will they fall apart over 300-350 horse??

put it in a neon just make sure it isnt smashed up in the front
a guy is driving around w/ a black neon and 4g63 and has been woopin ass my 92t supra can barely keep up.

try it its doable and its a mopar car he says engine was a pretty simple fit.

i am going with a 90-92 accord.. anyone know how heavy these are?

Assuming you get a sedan they range from 2,733 to 2,923lbs. This is of course from the factory, with original engine and parts.


I'm telling ya, S-Coupe. 2,176lbs

You can put it into a Dodge colt, Mirage, Scoupe, Galant VR-2. The 2 means two wheel drive, much lighter than a real VR-4!

i checked out s coupes and they are 2 door.. cant do it for conveniance and insurance purposes.. plus their ugly as hell..

as far as it goes for ANY mitsubishi, they came to canada 2000 apparently so none exist that are older.. absolutely none..

my only chance would be to do it from the states.. but its not worth buying a 900 dollar car from the states and have to go through the hassle of pick up and customs..

so mitsus are out of the question seems like it..


how much do civics from 90 - 92 weigh? 4 door?
