taking a motor from a 96 gsx and droping it in my 95 gst

besides the obvious transmission issue which i have covered, will there be any other issues dropping this in? concerned about the obd2 vs obd1 issues

no theres no problems, 95 and 96 are the same and you shouldnt have any tranny problems either, i actually use a gsx pressure plate in my gst and it works fine. its the 97 and up motors that are different.

All the sensors are the same 95-96. Everything will bolt up and plug in with no issues.

Everything will work I did the same as you but mine i took a engine out s 95 gsx and put it in my 96 gst.

everything will swap fine, but may i ask why youre wanting to swap? Get a 6 bolt

95-96 should have no problem, but aren't the 95-96 motors more prone to crankwalk? Why not build your current motor up? I was considering a motorswap, but instead found it cheaper to rebuild it. 6 bolt swap does take a long time if you have an auto.

your gonna wanna use the gsx flywheel but the fwd disk and pressure plate are the same.

im swaping in the 96 because my motor in the 95 spun a rod bearing HARDCORE by the Previous Owner and i was tricked into buying the car being told only the head needed work

im just trying to get the car to run solid as a daily driver,,, real reliable cars if you know what your doing and dont boost the hell out of them

if i were to build the motor it would be a 6 bolt for sure and id have some fun with her but not as a dd
