A Different Motor in my 95 talon?

Today I was told by this guy based on my CAS location that my motor was either a 97 or 98 motor in my talon. Is it possible to identify the year of the motor by the CAS location?

someone said to me one time... where's your cas? i told them i dont know haha usually they're on the left side of the motor but i couldn't find mine. let me know if you see it:

k...here's the deal guyz,......on the 4g63 from 90-94 the cas was on the passenger side of the valve cover, as those models used an integrated cam angle sensor and crankshaft position sensor, with the introduction of the gen 2 dsm's (95) mitsu decided it would be more accurate for the ecu to mount seperate cas and crank angle sensors...on these models the crank sensor is mounted near the end of the crank itself under and behind the crank pulley (much like domestic vehicles), on these models the cam sensor is behind one of the cam sprockets out of site without removing the cam sprocket....this lasted from 95-96, AND THEN mitsu decided to return to the 90-94 method of mounting the cas and crank angle sensor together on the passenger side of the head (valve cover) just like the 90-94....so the picture above is from a 95-96 4g63...
