Hi i was wondering if i could put a 2.4 eclipse spider motor in my old 95 eagle talon body and if so what modifications i would have to do to get it running right any hel would be greatly appreciated oh yeah and the 95 talon was a turbo.

what needs to be done to do it if you dont mind telling me the differences thank you for your help:)

Actually AllShallPerish, it doesn't take "tons of time and money." The 2.4l spyder is a 4g64 and will bolt right in. In order to net any gains though, you will want to put a dohc head from the turbo 4g63 on to it with upgraded internals. Then you would also turbo it as well. Walah, 2.4, .1l bigger than the 2.3 stroker.

Here are some helpful links:

Its really not too pricey except for forged internal. All the bolt on parts are the same oil & water pump (considering both are 7 bolt). Use turbo water pipes, oil pan, only thing 64 related is the head bolts and 64DOHC cam gears and belt. If you jave any questions pm me im finishing up my 64 build.

so what is the reasoning for needing the 4g64 cam gears? I have my engine completely assembled with the 4g64 cam gears and it sounds and feels like it has skipped a tooth which is what the problem would be since these gears are one tooth different then my stock 2g
