i dont know if i mentioned it but, i sold my 98gs to my bro, and while my dad was driving it, it got totaled by a monster truck climbing over the door, hood & fender. anyways...long story short the orig motor is now smoking and having some issues. on top of that, it has over 177k on it.

the question is can we put the 2.4 liter 95 galant engine in its place? my bro thinks they look pretty close without having the cars side by side. is this even doable or even worth it? will it even mate up to the 5 spd?

If I'm not mistaken the 95 galant has the 4g64 which would be just as hard as a 4g63 swap, and would not bolt to the n/a tranny.

If it is a spyder gs will bolt right in. Engine mount's are in the same location. They are pretty much the same exact engine with a few small differences. If it is just a gs, than no, it has a 420a in it.

its not a spyder...

ok, so i guess a rebuild is in order then. he was talking about going turbo...suggestions?
