Before people read this and bash me in I really dont Plan on doing this, its just a thought. If I am running rich and gas is in my exhaust then if it
put a ignition system of some sort I.E spark plug, and have a way to time
it then would it ignite the fuel like one of those propane systems, ands shoot a flame

Heh... Old redneck trick is to use a spark plug and a switch, or a grill ignitor and a switch.

Holy shit... I just realized rednecks and ricers are basically the same thing. Make your car as loud and flashy as possible as cheaply as possible, but don't actually make it go any faster or handle worth a shit.

I guess this says something about trailer trash.....

Oh wait I lived in a trailer for a barracks in the army for 2 years.... :ohdamn:
But most people in the army were either rice or redneck trucks... Had some soldier tell me I should get a bigger spoiler it would add 5-10 hp:ohdamn: I looked at his civic and said I was fine with my stock low rise, if I wanted a bigger one I'd get a high-rise...

Subaru's do that if it's catless/resonator-less. They are full Rally motors so it's necessary.

My 2g did it also without a problem Full 3" TBE. Not cat or reson. at all. Just loved to shoot flames and get me pulled over quite a few times.

Some cars naturally do it if you put a custom exhaust on! If its running (which most stock tunes are) rich then it could possibly ignite! I've got a few friends that do this and no system needed to make it ignite! Could depend on the system aswell

Haha I know right, what classifies an engine as a "full rally motor"?? ROFL

Its the engine LOL its the car! If its got rally stickers on it then its a rally car ha ha

I was not going to do just a thought LOL, I heard that those anti lags are not good on your engine or turbo if thats what you mean by stutterbox

I dont like the propane ones as the flames linger and just look stupid to me, I like the ones off the WRX were its a fast put.

WOW!

just FYI the fact that Subaru makes rally cars doesnt mean every one of their cars are rally cars. LOL and that has even less to do with the reason they shoot fire out their catless exhaust systems. the reason they do this is because unlike our ECU's theirs dont completly cut fuel on throttle lift or 0% throttle

Too bad they aren't rally spec at all.

WRC limits displacement to 1.99L. So technically your JDM Evo is NOT a 2.0L.

The US spec STI also makes too much power for WRC which limits horse power to 276, although this isn't strictly enforced and some cars are designed with 300hp in mind and some cars are estimated at 330-340hp. I'm not sure if the 276 is wheel or crank which would make the 300hp numbers make more sense but still I can't find a definite rule on this anymore, I know it was this way for a while after they started limiting power.

Finally the WRX and STI are both 2.5L boxer motors. So not even the American WRX could enter a rally race.

*edit* I really don't mean to come across as a dick I'm just pointing out some problems with the statement.

wrx is a 2.0l ej25, sti is 2.5l ej257

Anti-lag and a stutterbox/2 step are not the same thing.

Go to the nearest gas station. Pump exhaust full of 93(because its better), then throw a lit cigarette in the tail pipe.

You now have flames.

He's a noob not an idiot..

Also Mr smarty pants a throwing a lit cigarette into gas actually puts out the cigarette..

An ember from a cigarette will ignite gasoline, thats a fact.

As far as shooting flames from an exhaust, whats the point. Asking a question on a forum dedicated to people who are car enthusiast, not fanboys, about shooting "fake" flames out is just outright dumb.

It says "CCCP" on the back and it's a red car. That guy's a Commie!!

OP: you should have put a disclaimer that said "for reference purposes only" in your first post. Flames out the exhaust is F&F flashy Hollywood silliness.

But like said above, remove your cat and resonator and you'll get a little bit of raw fuel popping off along with whips of flame. Cops will pull you over though.
